A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
With the recent tragedy of the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton CT there has been much debate about what the Second Amendment's true intentions were. Many folks try to trivialize it's meaning to that of only hunting or personal defense. Our founding fathers were quite vocal of what they believed the true purpose of this simple and brilliant Amendment actually were.
